As with Clan Kuroda, House Baian is shrouded in secrecy, their inner workings and exact numbers and strength unknown after centuries of isolation. What is known is equally as confusing. Steeped in the rights of their ascetic order and dwelling in the inhospitabale Kobaishi Mountains of Saisio III, students hailing from Clan Baian are known to keep their feelings innermost and prefer the indirect route to any problem. This circuitous nature is mirrored in many aspects of their lives including the way they pilot.

Maintaining a reverence for the sphere or circle, they practice hand-to-hand combat in an ancient style best known for redirecting power against their would-be attackers using fluid circular motions. Gurista pirates found out the effectiveness of this method as it applies to aerospace battles when a squadron of Guristas piloting newly sourced Amarrian frigates thought they'd come across some easy pickings with a newly inducted group of Baian Achurian students. With their instructor killed in the surprise attack and still unversed in warp technology the students setup a defensive ring and begun to fly a spherical pattern protecting the Baian regent Baian Rin in the centre. With her coordinating the firing from the center she remained unscathed and the Guristas eventually fled out of frustration.
