The idea behind the corp is that we are a money making organization. Our goal is to make sure every member makes more money with us, then they would alone.
The way we intend to accomplish that is through economics of scale. Basically, what one person can do, 10 or 50 people can probably do better, in low sec, or 0.0 space, with capital ships, player owned star bases, and freighters backing them up.
In order to achieve economics of scale, the corp has to make money too. (POSs. BPOs, and capital ships don't come cheap) So, we're always going to try to work out what people get payed so that everyone makes some money, and the corp makes a little bit of money off the volume.
You'll never be getting *top* ISK for your work, but you will be getting more then you could make alone. In the meantime, the corp makes money, and can afford all those big, expensive projects that nobody could afford on their own.
A lot of mining corporations have a weekly mining op where all the members are expected to participate, and the corp only pays them 25% or less of the profit. We will not do this. We intend to have mining ops running all the time, and we intend to pay you a fair rate for your work, all the time.
That being said, if we're a only million ISK away from a corp-owned capital ship, then we might ask that everyone donate a few hours of work for free to get it done. Put a little time into it, and then you can get back to making money enjoying the benefits of a new corp-owned resource.
In the end, as we said, you will make more money with us, then you would alone, or with one of those corps that's only interested in slave labour. That way, we all get rich together.
